The sun is up and the day is new and full of light. We run and play in the park with Tom and Sam. Tom and Sam are my best pals and we meet each day at ten. We like to kick the ball and run fast on the wide green field. The grass is green and the air is cool and fresh on our skin. We sit on a bench and eat a snack of fruit and bread. Then we go home and wash our hands and face with soap. It was a fun day in the sun and we are tired but glad. We tell mom about the game and she smiles and nods. We drink cold water and sit in the shade for a bit. The sun sets slow and paints the sky in soft pink and gold. We felt glad to be out in the fresh air with friends near. The day went fast and left us tired but full of good cheer. Mom smiled and said we did well and should rest a bit now.
